It all started when…

Jenica and Jeremy met while working in the Math Clinic at Tarleton State University. Jenica was working on her Master’s while Jeremy was working on his Bachelor's. The two never really thought much about each other because the only thing they had in common was a few hours every week helping fellow students with math. Boy were they wrong.
They ended up sharing a graduation date at Tarleton without really being aware until after the fact. Their stories were intertwined from the start.

Jenica started texting Jeremy off of her roommate’s phone because she was too nervous to get his number for herself. The two eventually got each other’s numbers and realized they had a lot more in common than previously thought. Jeremy finally asked Jenica to be his girlfriend on July 8th, 2022. The rest was history. We are both math teachers at Ballinger ISD so we can be pretty nerdy at times.

THE PROPOSAL

The couple was golfing with family and Jenica went up to drive at hole 7. That was her best drive of the day and it got even better when she turned around and Jeremy was on one knee. Jeremy picked hole 7 because July is the 7th month and July has overall been a great month for the couple.

WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

I am looking forward to the first look at the alter. I can't wait to see Jeremy's face when he sees my dress.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?

We were originally wanting an indoor wedding, but were blown away by the ceremony space and just knew this is where we needed to get married. The big selling point for us was when we were at the alter and we looked down at the seats. Loved that you can see everyone!

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

Never stop dating and having fun with each other.

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT OUR WEDDING

We actually started planning our wedding way before we got engaged. We had a shared note on our phone and would add different ideas as we thought of them. We also had to plan everything around all of the sports Jeremy coaches.
