What are the current COVID -19 Guidelines for Texas

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott issued an Executive Order to announce the opening of additional businesses and activities in Texas. This announcement expands upon the businesses and activities included in the first phase of the plan to Open Texas while minimizing the spread of COVID-19. All newly opened businesses and services are subject to the recommended minimum standard health protocols outlined by DSHS.

What precautions has the venue taken for repoening during COVID-19?

* The floors will be cleaned with EPA disinfectant before every event. * All high-touch areas will be cleaned & disinfected with EPA disinfectant before & after each event, including all chairs, door knobs, handles, table, light switches, restrooms, kitchen & bridal suite. * A venue team member will be frequently disinfect areas. * All sliding doors will remain open as much as possible for ventilation. * Guests tables for dining inside will be limited to 6 guests per table and 6 feet apart. * Employees will where masks, gloves.

Will my guests be required to wear face masks, gloves, or other PPE?

We recommend that all guests educate themselves regarding current CDC and health department recommendations and best practices. Each guest should use their own judgement regarding the use of face masks, gloves, etc. If a guest is feeling ill or has had close contact with someone who is ill, we recommend that they do not attend the event.

What can I expect from my Caterer?

* All servers and every employee involved with food preparation will wear face masks and gloves and have been trained in the proper handling and distribution of foods. * All foods will be served at proper food-safe temperatures and handled ONLY by seasoned staff trained in food safety. * If utilizing a buffet style, servers will distribute food to guest plates rather than each guest serving themselves. * All surfaces utilized for food distribution will be cleaned frequently throughout the event. * Guests be severed table by table.

How will the Bar Service be handled?

* All bartenders will wear face masks and gloves during alcohol service. * Drinks will be served in single use containers: disposable cups for wine and mixed drinks, and bottles, cans, or disposable cups for beer. No container may be used more than once. * Only one beverage will be served per guest per visit to the bar. * Guests may not pick up beverages for other guests while at the bar. * All bar surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the event.

What if some of my guests can no longer travel to my wedding?

Covid-19 has impacted all of our lives. We understand that some people will change the way they view travel, at least in the near future. Although the Twin Lakes can not guarantee or control anticipated guest counts, we are sympathetic to this issue. Technology such as Zoom and Face Time are options that may be available to future brides.

How many guests can we have?

At this time we are allowed to have 121 inside, 52 on covered patio total guests not including workers.

Please keep in mind that the proceeding outline is the best practices and guidelines that we will strive to adhere to with the cooperation and participation of our couples and guests. We understand that no two wedding situations are exactly alike. Therefore, the final decision and implementation of these guidelines will be up to the couple and their guests. We are open to feedback on modified or enhanced procedures that our couples would like to discuss and or implement.
