It all started when…

We met early January at Lubbock's famous Chances R, a local dance hall where we first learned each others name while on the dance floor! It did not take long for us to realize that we both liked a lot of the same things & that we enjoyed dancing with each other! We have not spent a day apart since that night!

THE PROPOSAL

In celebration of our one year anniversary we decided to take a little vacation to San Antonio for some relaxation & fun on the river walk. As we crossed the Selena's Bridge over the river on the evening of our anniversary Branum stopped me for a photo in the exact same spot his parents had gotten married 30 years ago! In preparation for the photo he began to tell me how much he loved & how he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life his life with me & our son Barrett, before I could blink he was on one knee asking me to be his wife! As I sad yes & we kissed the river walked seemed to have gained & extra 200 tourists that roared in celebration for our engagement. A truly special moment made even more special by Branum, our friends, & the hundreds of people who helped us celebrate!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

The moment we are looking forward to most is when we tell each other how much the other means to us & our lives that will soon become one in front of our family & closest friends!

Is there anything else you can tell us about your love story?

Branum & I enjoy the more simple things in life, our favorite evenings involve sitting on the patio with the company of our 3 dogs. Vacations are revolved around long intense hikes in the mountains with a few hours of driving to discover beautiful scenery & natures best animals!

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?

Our hearts fell in love with Twin Lakes right off the bat with Jane, she was very straight forward with us by not trying to "sell" us, we felt no pressure or salesman like gimmick. It was really all over once we viewed the outdoor ceremony area, as soon as the doors were opened our breath was taken by the beautiful lake that we would soon stand in front of for the best day of our lives!

Is there anything else you think future couples will find interesting / helpful about your wedding? (Ie - planned from out of state, a must have was your dog in the ceremony, etc.)

Something future couples would find helpful is that Twin Lakes has an entire C container full of decorations that can be used for their wedding! Instead of the bride or family turning into DIY queens for all the decorations they can enjoy the planning process knowing that they will have more than what they need! Also, with the option of a wedding coordinator & decorator they're able to use even more of the venue's decorations & have that peace of mind come wedding day!

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

No relationship is all sunshine, but two people can share one umbrella & survive the storm together!

WEDDING THEME/STYLE

Sage green & cream are the colors of our wedding with an elegant, clean, simplistic look!
