IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

(10 years ago) We started connecting on social media. We then exchanged numbers, and he later asked me out on a date, and the rest is history. I still remember the moment I first locked eyes with him, and I just knew I was going to love this man.

THE PROPOSAL

We were celebrating Ryan's 30th birthday with those closest to us when suddenly he came up to me, and we locked eyes. Everything and everyone around me got quiet, and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was a very special moment that we got to share with those we cherish most. Including our 2-year-old daughter and our 3-month-old. We cried tears of joy!

We got engaged in 2019 we had our two children at this time. We had to hold off on planning our wedding due to the COVID pandemic and also job losses due to the pandemic. We patiently waited on God's timing to plan our big day. God had other plans when he blessed us with a surprise pregnancy! A month later we found out another surprise that we were carrying twins, double blessings! We were so happy our family was growing by two more littles. Ryan almost lost myself and our twins due to a complicated and life-threatening delivery. Our faith has always been so strong. I truly believe I was meant to stay alive not only for our babies and my future husband but to become one in holy matrimony one day with my soulmate. I knew God had big plans for our children and ourselves. Fast forward we both have been eachother's biggest supporters, we both challenge eachother to be greater than yesterday, to be the best parents and to remember to put eachother first and keep God in the midst of our beautifully chaotic days. We truly believe after every obstacle we have faced has led us to 2025 being the year we declare our love in front of everyone we love and eachother. I know when we first kiss as husband and wife everything we've ever known and loved about one another will replay in our minds and we can finally look at eachother and say, WE DID iit!!! God's timing really is everything.

***WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?***

I am most looking forward to walking down that aisle and locking eyes with my husband-to-be, as well as sharing our declaration of love with the people who mean the world to us. As well as thanking God for the paths that He has brought us on.

***WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?***

We instantly fell in love with this venue, not only for the amazing views and aesthetic, but also because it just made sense. We both envisioned every single detail of our big day to come at Twin Lakes. We fell in love with everything we seen but it was the feeling of warmth and home that sold us!

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

We have been planning a wedding from out of state. Twin lakes has made it so effortlessly in so many ways! They respond in such a timely manner with emails, texts, etc. They have reassured me not to stress that they are on top of it all. The owner is very respectful and sweet, we cannot wait to come back and visit for our one year anniverasy with them! I love the fact that we have a personal wedding planner as a resource when booking the wedding coordinator and decorator. I also respect that there is so much information and tools we have access to on the Twin Lakes website.
