For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul! by Judy Garland
Love Story of Alec & Caitlynn

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
I just moved back from playing college basketball in Illinois. I was single at the time and was truly uninterested in dating after just ending a rough relationship. One of my friends suggested I try out the bumble app. At the time I was uninterested in dating anyone, however, my friend downloaded the app and started creating a profile for me. I became interested after she explained to me how the female half has to message the man first before he can reply. Alec was the first picture that popped up and of course I immediately had heart eyes for him. I decided to message him and within minutes we began a truly intriguing conversation. We obtained each other's phone numbers and after a day of talking to one another we decided to meet for a first date at chipotle. Being the gentleman he is, he offered to pick me up. However, a girl can never be to cautious these days and I certainly had my guard up. Instead I opted to meet him at chipotle where we talked for hours after meeting for the first time.
THE LOVE STORY
Alec and I were both there for each other while he was going through the police academy as well as when I went through the police academy. The police academy is no easy task and it puts a lot of stress on you as well as exhausts you at the end of the day. It takes away a lot of time from your family and friends. I believe being able to be together through that time is a true testament to the amount of love we have for each other. There were several times I would come home grumpy and upset and Alec always had a way of making me feel better and it was vise versa while he was going through. We always support each other's dreams and decisions. Our love is nothing short of amazing.
THE PROPOSAL
Alec took me out to eat at a nice Italian restaurant. I was in the truck and he was in his police vehicle. When we were done eating he claimed he needed to go to the police department to finish a report. I decided I was going to go shopping at a little botique. We went our separate ways, and little did I know once he left he was actually getting into another police vehicle with a co-worker. His co-worker (someone I didn't know) ended up pulling me over not to far from the restaurant and wrote down my information. When he came back to my vehicle he claimed that I had a warrant out for my arrest and made me get out of my vehicle. He walked me back to his car where Alec was down on one knee. Before I saw Alec, I was angry and worried, but the moment I saw Alec on a knee I knew I had been tricked and was overwhelmed with happiness. He asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes!
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?
I absolutely love the small lake you are married in front of. I would say that was huge in the decision process as well as the fact that its an outdoor and indoor venue. The staff is all very helpful and I love that there several decorations that you can borrow from the twin lakes wedding venue for your big night.
ADVISE FOR FUTURE COUPLES
I'm most excited to finally tie the knot! However if I had to pick one specific moment, I would say I can't wait to see how Alec reacts when he see's me for the first time when I walk down the aisle. Wedding planning became stressful during the end due to Covid-19. We were constantly left wondering whether or not we would be able to have a wedding.
