It all started when…

We had mutual friends, and ended up meeting at Blue Light. He got my phone number, and started pursuing me.

THE PROPOSAL

Tim told me we were going to a Tech football game. He had an outfit picked out for me at home. We got in his truck and he had letters written out for me. He took me to the airport, where we got into a helicopter and flew around Lubbock. We landed in a cotton field and he had a sign set up asking me to marry him! After I said yes, we flew back into town and had our engagement party at his parents house with all of our friends and family.

LOVE STORY

I think our love story is unique because neither one of us were expecting to meet our future spouse, during the season of life we were in. I was not looking for anything serious at that point, but Tim was so persistent and never took no for an answer. I loved that about him, and honestly had never felt that from anyone else before. He truly chased me, and trust me I was running away as fast as I could!! He was also in a point of his life where marriage was not something he was thinking about at all. He told me later on that after the first time we spent the day together, he knew he was going to marry me. I know it's cliché, but I truly think "when you know you know". God will also do some crazy things to keep you on your toes. I think once you stop looking or trying to force relationships, the right one will show up when you least expect it!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

The moment I'm most looking forward to is seeing Tim's reaction when I walk down the aisle!!

WEDDING THEME/STYLE

Our theme is Boho/Modern! I wanted a simplistic look, but love the boho vibes too!

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?

I grew up in Brownfield and went to school in Wellman. I knew Brogan from school, and Susan my MOH recommended it to me! It was the only venue we looked at that truly felt like "us". It's the style and vibe we were wanting. On top of that it was affordable, and ya'll do so much to help with the whole process. I feel like there aren't a lot of other venues around here that offer all the amenities ya'll do for an affordable price!

Do you have any advice for future couples?

I would say don't stress during the process. You only get to experience this season of your life once! Something is going to happen that wasn't expected, but at that point just know that you're the only person who even notices. No one attending knows exactly how everything is planned out, so don't stress. Just enjoy the day with your friends and family!!
