It all started when…

Nic and I met while both going to school at Lubbock Christian University. We were in social clubs on campus that did a lot of events together. He was two years younger than I was, so I always thought he was handsome and very charming, but I never thought we would actually date. Then, right before my last semester, my friend told me he was interested and the rest is history. When we're together, Nic and I get to be completely ourselves. I love that in our relationship we get something very special that not everyone else gets to see.

THE PROPOSAL

Nic proposed at a gazebo in the prayer garden outside our church. Over the past two years, we've become increasingly more involved in the church and the worship team there, so it was special to have it at one of the places that's really become our own.

WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

We are really excited for the ceremony and to say I do! I can't wait for them to announce us and walk back down the isle together. Other than that, we're so ready to celebrate and dance with all of our friends and family.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?
I went to a wedding several years ago at Twin Lakes and thought it was beautiful. Then, when we started looking at venues and I saw Twin Lakes took care of so many of the details, like decorating, I knew it was the one.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

We planned this wedding for 6 months, while my little sister is planning a wedding one month after ours, and my older sister just had a baby. So, it's been a crazy time for our family, but we made it work! Set up a few hours a week to work on wedding things from the beginning, then you won't have to stress because you left it all for crunch time.
