It all started when…

We met through mutual friends and family who really wanted us to meet. We finally met and got along but neither of us thought much about it until the second time we met. Since then we have pretty well been inseparable.

THE PROPOSAL
Dawson had Mackenzies ring custom-made, He shipped it to the best man’s house so it could be a secret. When it came time for the ring to be delivered no one was able to get off work to sign for the package except for Mackenzie. She was sent to pick up her ring with the promise that she could not look at it and instead had to wait until Dawson decided to propose. He told her that in order to be a surprise he would take her on a date every weekend to do something new until he decided to propose. The very first weekend he prayed to God for a sign to prove that the moment was right, After a nice dinner Dawson took Mackenzie to a garden where he hoped to propose. They were met with a dark unlit garden with dead or scorched plants and flowers everywhere. This did not discourage Dawson, he then took Mackenzie to another location where they walked and talked. in the distance there was a big wall lit up bright in the dark night, this wall said "YAHWEH" He took this as his confirmation from God and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

We are both looking forward to the first look at the Ceremony and to making a public display of our covenant with each other and God.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?
We chose Twin lakes because it checked all of our boxes. We wanted a beautiful ceremony spot, Check. We wanted a great and inviting bridal/grooms room, Check. We wanted a great area to dance, Check. We wanted something that felt like we were getting a great place for a reasonable price. Check. To say we fell in love immediately is a understatement!
