It all started when…

We met while working at one of the dining halls on the Texas Tech campus. We had actually lived in the same dorm the year before, but Daniel didn't know that until after the fact. We were friends for a year before we started dating. We've been dating for over 7 years, so this has been a long time coming.

THE PROPOSAL

Daniel proposed on December 10, 2020, after having to change his proposal plans multiple times due to covid shutdowns. He finally proposed while we were opening up our Christmas gifts at home, which is normal since we visit his family out of town the actual week of Christmas.

WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Besides the actual ceremony, wearing my wedding dress and seeing all of the decorations set up.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?

We chose Twin Lakes due to the décor and natural beauty of the venue. We wanted to get married surrounded by water, so it was a perfect fit.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

We planned our wedding over the span of almost two years, and it was so helpful and relieved a lot of stress. Have fun while planning your wedding! Communication is key in anything, but will definitely help during such a stressful time.
