It all started when…

We met at a house party back home in New Mexico. He ended up getting my number at the end of the night and asked me to go on a date. We both like BBQ, so on our first date, he took me to Rib Crib. I ordered a loaded spud, that sucker was huge, but I tore it up. He likes to tell everyone that is what made him fall in love with me and he never looked back.

Johnathon and I met in 2018 but didn't actually start dating until March 25, 2022. We became best friends before we started dating and really got to know everything about each other. The good and the bad. I am so glad that's how our love story began.

THE PROPOSAL
Ive begged him for a long time that I wanted to go visit Nashville. He got to planning it for me and we ended up going around our anniversary. He planned to take me and our two friends who got to tag along to make it seem like less of an engagement trip on all the adventures. The day it was going to happen, he planned to take me to a winery and it was absolutely stunning! He was very on edge the whole day and it was starting to bother me lol so I wasn’t being very pleasant because I didn’t understand what was in store for me. We walked up a hill to the most beautiful view and our friends pulled out their phones and started taking pictures of us for memories. While he and I were standing up there he started to shake really bad... to the point where he was making the back of my dress shake lol. When I went to look over to ask him about what his deal was.. he got down on one knee and grabbed my right hand lol so I gave him my left, and then he opened up the ring box backward. Looking back now, that moment was absolutely perfect and describes how quirky and fun our relationship is. He is my best friend and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this man.

WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

I think the moment I'm most looking forward to is seeing the look on his face when I walk through the doors. I hope his face shows all kinds of emotions. He and I have been looking forward to this for so long that I'm sure we'll not want the night to end.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?
I had the opportunity to attend a wedding here a couple years ago for Brayden and Leah Wines. I remember how in awe I was with the venue and told myself then, "when my time comes, Twin Lakes had to be the venue I would choose for my wedding."
