Loving you was never an option. It was a necessity.
THE LOVE STORY OF jaycie & seth

COPENLANE PHOTOGRAPHY
It all started when…
Seth and I started texting after Seth's sister told him about me. I was coaching volleyball and one of my players happened to be his sisters niece. She told him to text me and to see how things would go. Although he was hesitant to send a random person a message, he finally did on September 17, 2020. Our first date was September 30 at a local restaurant in Colorado City. We started dating February 9 of 2021 and it has been so exciting watching our love for another grow.
THE PROPOSAL
Seth proposed to me on Friday, September 15, 2023. We were fixing to go to dinner for my birthday and he had been acting weird all week.. he asked me multiple times to go get my nails done and just kept asking what the dinner plan was (we were just going to eat it wasn't that complicating lol). I was getting ready when he got home from work and he decided to take a shower before we left. I went to put his clothes in the dirty hamper and when I reached for them he freaked out and snatched them out of my hand (I found out that the ring was in his pants lol). After he was done he went into the living room to wait for me to finish and when I walked into the living room he got down on one knee and I don't remember the rest or anything that happened because I completely blacked out but I said yes!
Seth and I have had a fairly simple relationship with no interruptions. After our first date I had a feeling I could be with him for a long time. I wasn't sure if that meant marriage but I for sure knew it wasn't just going to be a fling. We watched his brother get married after we started dating and he says that he knew he wanted that with me after seeing his brother do it. I believe I felt it before that but I was more sure of my feeling afterwards.
WHAT MOMENT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
I am looking forward to our first look with one another and our first dance. Seth wants to get dance lessons so he can feel more confident so I think this will be a very exciting moment for both of us.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TWIN LAKES?
I was looking for awhile and couldn't find anything I liked that kind of fit my style. One of my good friends had a sister recently get married here and I loved everything about her pictures.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES
Do not get stressed out for the planning! Make sure to give yourself enough time to make decisions and be able to change them. We had all of our vendors and extra stuff booked and paid for 7 months before our wedding and that gave us time to just relax and enjoy our engagement. I know that not everyone has the same timeline as we did but doing our wedding a year three months after our engagement was the best decision for us financially and mentally. Also, enjoy your time! You won't be fiancés forever and this is such an exciting time trying to navigate our futures together and what we expect out of it (:
OUR WEDDING
I'm not sure if anything is interesting or helpful but we did decide to use drink donkeys for our cocktail hour and that was the most exciting decision for my fiance! He is so excited for that and it makes me laugh.
WEDDING THEME & STYLE
I am going for more of a romantic moody/gothic jewel tone style.
